When he introduced the idea of strategy backtesting to the financial markets, my father, Louis Mendelsohn, turned the trading world upside down. Shortly after that, in 1983, he released the first version of our software solely for independent traders. Suddenly traders had the power of predictive forecasts driven by algorithms and continuous training of our neural networks — all for the home computer. As microcomputers were transforming our lives, our software was traveling the same trajectory for independent traders and literally giving birth to the FinTech industry!
Trading for humans is hard! We are emotional beings and sometimes that gets in the way of profitable trading – we hold on to a favorite stock too long because we love their story, we don’t jump in on a trade because we’re scared it’s going to reverse fast leaving us riding the market to the bottom, or we just don’t know what to do because there’s so much data and we just get overwhelmed. That’s where A.I. shines!
Our latest version of our software makes things so much easier for traders to trade smart. In fact, 30 years on, the trading industry is still enthusiastic about what our software can do: help traders trade with confidence even in the midst of market chaos and volatility.
