Market Technologies Announces That US Patent No 8,442,891 has been issued to Louis B. Mendelsohn For Intermarket Analysis Combined With Neural Networks
Wesley Chapel, FL, June 17, 2013 – Market Technologies, developer of VantagePoint Intermarket Analysis Trading Software, announced today the issuance of US Patent No 8,442,891 from the U.S. Patent Office to Louis B. Mendelsohn (CEO and president) for his invention that applies intermarket analysis to global financial market data.
Utilizing this innovative technology, which he first began developing in the late 1980s, Mendelsohn has been able to create predictive – leading – technical indicators of global markets which produce highly accurate, short term forecasts using the pattern recognition capabilities of neural networks applied to intermarket data. A second patent application of Mendelsohn’s, still pending and expected to be issued shortly, covers the technological processes that he has devised to calculate these predictive technical indicators.
Market Technologies’ proprietary use of intermarket analysis combined with neural networks was first applied by Mendelsohn to with its initial release in 1991. In 2004 Mendelsohn founded Predictive Technologies Group, LLC, the assignee of this patent, bringing together a team of software R&D specialists to assist him in his continuing research into this area.
The technology behind Mendelsohn’s patent involves the sampling of a large pool of global financial market data on specific markets and the identification of those related markets that have the highest relevance in training neural networks to make accurate market forecasts. This underlying selection process determines “key” intermarkets, “general” intermarkets, and “predictive” intermarkets from the pool of available global markets that correspond to each “primary” market.
Market data for each of the key intermarkets, general intermarkets, and predictive intermarkets are used to train the neural networks, so that after processing this market data, VantagePoint can then predict each specific primary market with a high degree of accuracy. Independent tests of have reported its predictive accuracy to be above 80%, giving individual traders a competitive edge in today’s highly globalized markets.
