Wesley Chapel, FL, August 19, 1998 — Louis B. Mendelsohn, President and Chief Executive Officer, announced today that Market Technologies, a privately-held investment software firm, is the recipient of the prestigious 1998 Tampa Bay Technology Fast 50 Award. The purpose of the Tampa Bay Fast 50 competition is to search out and acknowledge emerging technology companies that are an increasingly important part of Tampa Bay’s economy and culture. The Tampa Bay Technology Fast 50 is a ranking of the region’s 50 fastest growing technology companies, both public and private, out of more than 3,000 technology-related firms in the region, based on percentage growth in revenues over a five-year period. The Tampa Bay region includes the seven counties of Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota. In his August 4, 1998 letter to Mr. Mendelsohn announcing the award, Mr. Stuart Rogel, Executive Director of the Tampa Bay Partnership, offered his “congratulations on winning this prestigious award that is an industry benchmark for success!”. According to Mr. Rogel, Market Technologies’ “company information has already been submitted to the national Technology Fast 500” for consideration by Deloitte & Touche as one of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in the United States. According to the alphabetical listing of the 1998 Tampa Bay Technology Fast 50 award winners which was enclosed with Mr. Rogel’s letter, other companies among the 1998 Fast 50 include: Danka Business Systems, Intermedia Communications, Jabil Circuit, Inc., Sykes Enterprises, Inc., and Tech Data Corp.
